TYPOGRAPHIC MORPH

A TO Z • 356 FRAMES

Intro
Typographic Morph is a hand drawn stop motion alphabet of 356 frames. This project explores type as behavior rather than a fixed object.

Project
Each frame nudges one letter toward the next. A becomes B, B becomes C, all the way to Z. Lines shift, repeat and resolve by timing and touch instead of a strict grid. The result keeps the alphabet recognisable while the forms stay in motion.

From the moving sequence I distilled a working font built from the still master letters. The in-between shapes form a library of transitions that work as prints, short loops and graphic textures for titles, posters and motion pieces. Typographic Morph lives as both film and font, so you can screen it, set text with it, or sample the frames inside layouts.

Process
I drew every frame by hand, scanned the drawings, then assembled the animation so the rhythm feels constant from A to Z. The spacing and pacing are tuned so each morph reads clearly without losing energy. The font version is cleaned for use while keeping the character of the drawings.

Availability
Printed specimens are available on recycled A3 paper and signed. The font is available for licensing on request.
